Protect City Services and Workers
Madison’s public servants provide vital services for everyone in the city and enrich our quality of life. I will fight for their rights as workers and for the communities who depend on their work.
Protect and Expand Services for Working Families
Madison’s working families are the most reliant on our public services and would face the most serious consequences if they were to be cut. Nurses and retail workers who rely on public transportation to get them to their jobs at off-peak hours, mothers and fathers who use the library or Goodman pool to entertain their kids - there are thousands of hardworking people who cannot afford for the city to turn its back on them. Our care for each other is what makes Madison such a special place, and we should not cut the services that help us all thrive.
Support Workers’ Rights
Madison’s municipal employees do crucial work every day and deserve our respect. The best way we can show that is by respecting their rights as workers. While I am optimistic about the potential overturning of Act 10, Madison must do more to support our workers and their unions. Being proactive on issues like cost-of-living adjustments, staffing levels, and overtime pay will allow us to better recruit and retain high level talent for our jobs, ensuring they continue to meet the highest of standards. These are jobs held by our neighbors and friends - investing in them is investing in our community and the future of our city.
