Local Leaders Endorse Noah For District 14 Ahead Of Primary

Several local elected officials and progressive leaders have endorsed our campaign for the common council ahead of the February 21st Primary Election. Madison Common Council Alders Yannette Figueroa Cole, Julianna Bennett, and Erik Paulson are all supporting this campaign and the progressive values I’ll fight for on the council. These alders have all been outspoken on the chief issues of our campaign, especially the need for more affordable housing. Together, we will bring real change to this issue in the coming term.

Also endorsing the campaign are Dane County Board Supervisors Yogesh Chawla, Anthony Gray, and April Kigeya. These County Board members have done incredible work on a number of issues, but I am particularly interested in working with our county leaders to pursue the shared goal of racial equity in our criminal justice system. The work that Supervisors Gray and Kigeya have done as founding members of the Dane County Black Caucus is especially admirable here, and I will stand by them as they continue their efforts for a more just system.

Lastly, I am proud to announce the endorsement of Former State Senate Candidate Nada Elmikashfi. Nada’s campaign was hugely inspiring to me as another young person trying to have a voice in our political system. Despite her defeat, Nada has continued to be a champion for progressive values through her work in State Rep Francesca Hong’s office, her New Colossus column in The Isthmus, and her work on the boards of advocacy groups like 350 Wisconsin Action. Her activism and perspective are sorely needed for the future of Dane County politics, and I am incredibly grateful for her support.
